This is to inform you that the Philippine Footwear Federation, Inc., in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) aims to meet up with the footwear manufacturers, adhesive suppliers and other allied industries to discuss about chemical adhesives specifically under the Board Regulation No. 6 Series of 2007, Subject: "Classifying toluene-based contact cement products without at least five percent mustard oil content as dangerous drugs."
PDEA aims to maintain close linkages with industries and combat diversion of chemicals. The agency drafted a Memorandum of Understanding, that alongside an industry Code of Practice will be advocated for adoption to govern uniformity in procedures of handling transactions of controlled substances, especially in cases of suspicious order.
In this regard, we would like to invite you to attend to a meeting on 13 June 2008 from 3 PM to 4 PM at the PFFI Office, 20 Russet Street, SSS Village, Marikina City.
For inquiries, you may call us or visit our office. Hope to see you in this very important meeting.
Thank you very much.
